ROCK/ICE CLIMBING


From the Beer Walls to the Chapel Pond Slab, rock and ice climbers find ample climbing opportunities here.  Due to the popularity of the sport, local licensed guides are available to help you experience the best climbing in the northeast!

FISHING

The Ausable River flows through both Keene and Keene Valley, providing anglers with miles of access to this popular trout fishing area.

PUBLIC TENNIS/BASKETBALL/VOLLEYBALL

The Keene Community Center provides access to basketball, volleyball and tennis courts.  Additional Tennis and Basketball courts are available at Keene Central School.


CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING/SNOWSHOEING

For those who enjoy the outdoors in the winter, the Lake Road to AuSable Lakes Trail provides a wonderful skiing experience.  For the more adventurous, the High Peaks trails can be accessed by snowshoes and backcountry skis.
