Minutes of the Public
Hearing held Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at 5:45 PM, at the Keene Town
Hall. The following Town Board
Members were present: William B.
Ferebee, Supervisor, Paul R. Martin, Robert M. Biesemeyer, Marcy A. Neville and
Lawrence Jaques, Members of Council.
Also present were: 1
resident, Bruce Reed, Highway Superintendent and Ellen Estes, Town Clerk.
Mr. Ferebee explained the
purpose of tonightÕs meeting is in regards to the Qualified Abandonment of the
Old Mountain Road. He said
notification of this meeting had been sent to the adjoining landowners.
He said that Debra Whitson,
the Town Attorney, would have the resolution to be adopted by the Town Board at
the next Town Board Meeting, saying she would take care of its filing.
Mr. Ferebee said that the
Town Board will need to discuss the hours they will permit motorized vehicles
on the right of way during hunting season, saying he would suggest 1 hour
before sunrise until 1 hour after sunset from the Saturday following Columbus
Day until December 15th.
Ms. Neville said there is
still some fine tuning needed for the Local Law.
Mr. Martin said the Town
Board will need to make a decision regarding who (resident or taxpayer) will be
allowed permits. It was suggested
using the term Òand/orÓ.

Mr. Jaques offered a
resolution and moved its adoption.
Be it resolved, that with no other questions or comments, this meeting
be adjourned. This resolution was
seconded by Mr. Biesemeyer.
