Minutes of the Public Hearing upon Preliminary Budget held Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at 7:00 PM, at the Keene Town Hall. The following Town Board Members were present: William B. Ferebee, Supervisor, Paul R. Martin, Robert M. Biesemeyer, Marcy A. Neville and Lawrence Jaques, Members of Council. Also present: Ellen Estes, Town Clerk.

The Chairman, Mr. Ferebee, called the meeting to order at 7:00, explaining that this meeting was scheduled as the Public Hearing upon Preliminary Budget.

Mr. Biesemeyer asked if the $45,000 that was added to the Budget for the AuSable Mountain Reserve assessment litigation was on one line item. He was answered yes.

Mr. Ferebee informed the Board that the tax rate would be decreased .15 cents from last year’s rate of $3.18 per thousand to $3.03 per thousand.
He said the overall budget showed an increase of 6.8%.

With no further questions, the meeting was adjourned at 7:10 PM.
