Notes
from the Bid Opening held
The
meeting began at 3:00 PM with Jim Duggan saying that today’s opening is for
Water District No. 2 saying that any bids that come in now will be returned
unopened.
The
first bids, the Water Storage Tank, were opened by Mr. Ferebee, read aloud and checked for attachments by Jim Duggan, as follows:
Luck Brothers, acknowledged
addendums 1 through 4 with a base bid of $1,871,885.00, all forms included;
Tracy Trombley Construction Co., acknowledged
addendums 1 through 4 with a base bid of $1,657,000.00, all forms included;
Reale Construction, acknowledged
addendums 1 through 3 with a base bid of $1,488,000.00, missing 2 of the
required forms; and
Reznick Construction, acknowledged
addendums 1 through 4 with a base bid of $1,619,884.00, included only a 5% bid
bond, missing 2 of the required forms.
The
Water Main bids were opened in the same manner, as follows:

Mr.
Duggan thanked everyone for coming and said these bids would be reviewed for
completeness and advisement would be received from the Town Attorney.
*A
representative for Luck Brothers explained to Mr. Duggan that their base bid
included all the alternates saying he thought that was the way it was supposed
to be. Mr. Duggan looked at their
supporting paperwork and said their base bid line should have reflected
$2,230,554.00.
