GOLDEN PEAKS ACTIVITIES Thursday, February 2nd Plattsburgh Shopping Trip – 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (call 576-9710 to reserve a seat) FREE VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Sponsored by Golden Peaks The free, walk-in income tax preparation day will be on Saturday, March 3rd, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM, at the Keene Community Center. Open to clients with yearly incomes less than $50,000. Walk-ins welcome or sign up by calling Jean at 576-9710. Detailed notices of this event (data needed, etc.) will be publicly posted in early February. THRIFTY TIP: KEEP UP THE PRESSURE As the temperature goes down, your tire pressure goes down. Keeping your tire pressure up will help keep your gas expenses down. You can improve your gas mileage by up to 3.3 percent by keeping your tires inflated to the proper pressure. Under-inflated tires can lower gas mileage by 0.3 percent for every 1 psi drop in pressure of all four tires.
